About Me Coming from a Lebanese family in Niagara Falls, New York, I remember being by my father’s side as a young girl, listening to Middle Eastern music. I would get up and move my body to the rhythm. As I danced, I was transported into another world; a world where I could express my creativity and my feminine spirit. It was a world where I learned to reach my soul.
When I got married and moved to Detroit, Michigan, I ached to pursue my love of music and dance. It was in Detroit that I found my teacher, who also is the designer of my beautiful one- of- a- kind costumes. I have been dancing for 8 years now.
I still live in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan with my husband and my 2 children. I have used my talent and love for dance to entertain hundreds of people at graduations, weddings, birthdays, and many other family celebrations. I have traveled to Canada and the Caribbean to perform and have appeared in many newspaper and magazine articles and on TV stations.
I was born to belly dance. It releases the Goddess within me. I enjoy entertaining and putting smiles on the faces of my audience. I give part of myself to the audience and, in return, receive energy from them. My audience truly becomes a part of my performance.
Aside from my passion for dance, I have a Masters Degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelors Degree in Government from Skidmore College. I have traveled extensively throughout Europe and Russia. I speak German and Russian and have spent time overseas studying both languages in their respective countries.
